There are two options:

a) Subleasing

DIP allows its tenants to sublease their ready built facilities to prospective sub tenants. These facilities include readymade offices, warehouses, commercial showrooms, labour camps and retail spaces.

b) Transfer of lease

Tenants also have the option to transfer their lease/sell off their completed facilities to other willing prospects who meet DIP rules and regulations. Investors need to have a license issued from the Dubai Economic Development Department to operate in DIP as DIP is not a Free Zone.

Subleasing and lease transfers are subject to DIP approval. The proposed activity has to be reviewed by DIP to make sure it meets the set rules and regulations. Light industrial activities are accommodated within the warehouses.
